Plan your hours to be productive. Plan your weeks to be educational. Plan your years to be purposeful. Plan your life to be an experience of growth. Plan to change. Plan to grow. -Iyanla Vanzant
What a year, right? Ups and downs. Highs and lows. Twists and turns. So, the big question with a not-so-simple answer is… What. Did. You. Learn? Each of us has that “thing” that will keep coming for us (yes, rearing its pretty little head) until we get it. What’s yours? Did you recognize IT this year? And if so, did you make a conscious choice (different from the last time) so that a better, healthier, more loving result was produced?
Take a moment. Reflect on your 2013 experiences. And do us a big favor, don’t judge them good or bad, right or wrong. Instead, focus on what you learned and celebrate your growth and perseverance. Aging, of course, is inevitable, but emotional maturity is a choice, and the way to develop it is by learning from your experiences.
