Black America we have a problem.
Roughly 2.3 million dollars ($2,300,000) was spent in 72 hours on Patti Pies. Sweet potato pies, y’all. We have no hate for Patti Labelle, but The Tamir Rice Justice Fund has only raised $270 in about the same amount of time (as of 10 a.m. Jan. 3, 2016).
Let’s prove to ourselves that we can collectively support one another. The current goal is $5,000. ‘We’ gave Wal-mart 2 million dollars for Patti Pies. Patti Pies! Prove to yourself and Black America that we value life more than pies.
Much of the world felt the blow of the grand jury’s decision to not indict officers involved in the tragic killing of 12-year-old Tamir Rice. Won’t you donate to help Samaria Rice (mother of Tamir) and her continued fight for justice? The outcome could help us all in the long run.
Remember George Zimmerman?
- He shot and killed Trayvon Martin.
- The George Zimmerman Fund raised over $500,000 from his supporters around the country.
Remember Darren Wilson?
- He was the Ferguson cop who shot Mike Brown.
- Darren Wilson raised over 1 million dollars ($1,000,000) from various forms of support around the country.
This is our first test for 2016, Black America. Let’s prove to ourselves that this year we are even more determined to unify and show our collective responsibility for each other. Give something… $1, $5, $10, $20. Every contribution counts. You count. We count. Show the Tamir Rice family that they count! Give something. Right now. Help them to reach the current goal of $5,000.
Is this an official fundraiser for the family of Tamir Rice?
